Tuning and Maintenance Tips

  • Duck Call Cork: Inspect and replace frequently to maintain the optimum tone of your duck call. Fresh cork ensures consistent sound quality and prevents tonal degradation.
  • Goose Call Reeds: Over time, reeds can blister and crack, leading to buzzing or reed failure. Regularly check your reeds and replace them when signs of wear appear.
  • Duck Call Reeds: While they rarely need replacement unless they split, having extras allows you to custom-tune your call to your preferences.
  • O-Rings: These are incredibly durable and can last a lifetime with proper care. Apply silicone grease to keep them lubricated and prevent fraying from repeated tuning.

    Great option for tuning supply needs at a good price. I keep a tuning kit in my blindbag just incase I need to fix a call in the field.

    A great thing to have in the bag because you never know when you are going to split a reed or need to do some quick maintenance. With high quality calls that look amazing you dont want them to sound bad so thats why i always have a tuning kit with me!

    Great company to work with. Easy product to use with some basic knowledge of tuning. I did modiy the toneboards/inserts on the New Justifier and The Rise. That along with this kit and really got the sound I was looking for. Even helpled with line me up with new inserts to go in each call to get it back stock.

    Got some tuning gear for my archangel duck call and I put that in the notes and when I opened my box, C & S went ahead and pretuned/precut a reed and wedge set for my archangel. Threw it in the call and it Sounds perfect.

    Great service I ordered a pack of six reeds and received a package of about 12 very impressed with that. I have the disciple and the apostle on my lanyard great calls. Roy Pyke
